With six unmarked UWCW vehicles, the team members then trailed the vehicle out of Umbilo, Glenwood and into Berea. The team members kept in constant communication with one another, with updates about the vehicle’s movements and relayed the information directly to the SAPS and Durban Metro Police.
“Durban Metro dispatched a Flying Squad Unit based on the intelligence provided by UWCW and executed the arrest,” said the neighbourhood watch.
The two suspects were identified by community watch members and were then taken to the Umbilo SAPS for criminal processing.
