Applications for fashion mentorship programme opened

The 2022 Durban Fashion Fair (DFF) Mentorship Programme focuses on technical skills in fashion, business development, market access as well as networking opportunities.

ASPIRING fashion designers can now apply to be part of a skills development opportunity through a mentorship programme as part of the 2022 Durban Fashion Fair (DFF).

“The DFF Mentorship Programme aims to develop talent to be industry ready and to make a name for themselves in the fashion space. It provides them with access to market to sell their products through the City-owned DFF Emporiums located at uMlazi Mega City, Midway Crossing and a few pop-up shops including at the Pavilion Shopping Centre as well as online platforms,” said eThekwini Municipality spokesperson, Msawakhe Mayisela.  

To apply, submit the following:  

• Short bio of yourself or your fashion business.

  • Motivation – why you should be selected for this programme.  

• Storyboard – showcasing a clothing range you’re currently working on or have produced in the past 12 months

 • Proof of residence and qualifications.  

Applications must be dropped off at 7th floor, Embassy Building, 199 Anton Lembede Street by Friday, March 25 at 15:00.
