WATCH: Musgrave home destroyed by blaze

Musgrave resident, Kevin Dunkley was not home when his daughter called from an ambulance to tell him the news.

A MOTHER and son narrowly escaped the blaze as a Musgrave house went up in flames on Sunday, March 27. Homeowner, Kevin Dunkley was at a meeting when his daughter called from an ambulance to say the Windmill Road home was going up in flames.

“I left just before 09:00. My daughter and my grandson were sleeping. Both of them woke up because of the smoke. My daughter couldn’t get out of her room because the door had swollen. She was pulling at the door while my grandson pushed the door until she got out. She got burned on her face and arm. She has been released from the hospital now, but is still very sore with big blisters,” he said.
