Man killed in Greyville shooting

The man had crashed into a wall and was found with multiple gunshots wounds.

ALS Paramedics responded to reports of an accident and shooting scene in Greyville this morning.

Garrith Jamieson, the ALS Paramedics spokesperson said they arrived on the scene this morning just after 10:00 after receiving multiple calls of a shooting incident and car accident on Gladys Manzi Road in the Greyville area of Durban CBD.

Paramedics declared the driver deceased at the scene due to gunshot wounds and accident impact.

“On arrival paramedics found that  vehicle had crashed into a wall. Upon further examination we found multiple gunshots holes to the vehicle, unfortunately there was nothing more paramedics could do for him. He was declared deceased at the scene,” said Jamieson.

“At this stage the events leading up to the incident are unknown however the SAPS are in attendance and will be investigating further,” he said.
