Berea SAPS nab armed robbers
Members from Berea SAPS apprehended and detained four armed-robbery suspects yesterday.
YESTERDAY morning, Berea SAPS carried out an operation to target all the robberies that occurred along Berea Road, on that day.
The operation was led by Station Commander Colonel Mngadi.
Colonel Mngadi and his members patrolled along Berea Road on the morning of May 26 and spotted four suspects at the corner of Berea and Botanic Gardens Road.
According to Colonel Mngadi, members from Berea SAPS responded and apprehended four suspects, aged between 30–36, and detained them for armed robbery at the Berea SAPS station.

“After further investigation was done, suspects were linked to several other cases and were positively identified by the complainants,” said Mngadi.
General MV Kheswa, the Ethekwini District Commissioner, complimented the members and Colonel Mngadi, Station Commander of Berea SAPS, for the excellent work done.
“The removal of criminals off our streets ensures a safer community. We will not allow habitual criminals to continue to walk our streets,” she said.
