Durbanites invited to a fun City Clean-Up

Stillwater Sports is inviting Durban residents to join a fun City Clean Up on Saturday, 9 July 2022 in the build-up to the 5th annual Absa Run Your City Durban 10k that will hit the streets of Durban on Sunday, 10 July.

LIFESTYLE and sports event specialists, Stillwater Sports, are inviting all Durban residents to join a City Clean-Up on Saturday, July 9. The event will be held in the build-up to one of Durban’s most iconic mass-participation road races, the 5th annual Absa Run Your City Durban 10k that will hit the streets of Durban on Sunday, July 10.

Michael Meyer, managing director of Stillwater Sports and founder of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series, said the citywide run is still open for entries. “We love our host cities and are proud to play our part in keeping them clean and getting them race-ready. The City Clean-Up is a great way to get the community involved, and we would like to invite all Durbanites to join in on the fun on Saturday. If you have not yet done so, enter the 2022 event and enjoy the fruit of your hard work on Sunday as we #RunForDurban at the 2022 Absa Run Your City Durban 10k.”

“The City Clean-Up is a fantastic initiative that grants the Durban community the opportunity to help keep our wonderful city clean. We are proud to play our part by providing refuse bags and gloves for all who attend the City Clean-Up. We have also arranged for the collection of the filled bags post-clean-up,” said senior superintendent Parboo Sewpersad.

The City Clean-Up will take place on Saturday, July 9, starting at 08:00 and ending at 10:00. If you would like to join in on the fun and make a change, meet the event team at Absa Durban City located at 291 Anton Lembede Street, Durban.
