The first will be the Baroque 2000 concert of the year at St James in Morningside from 11:30 which will be followed by the KZN Philharmonic’s Sinfonia Concert at St Thomas Church in Musgrave Road at 15:00. “Patrons who attend the morning concert, can hold onto their Baroque ticket for the Sinfonia concert and get 10% off their ticket for the afternoon concert, if buying tickets at box office,” said Illa Thompson of Publicity Matters.
She said with 2025 being Bach’s year – there will be various concerts around the world to honour prolific German Baroque composer Johann Sebastian Bach. He would be turning 340 on March 31 (March 31, 1685 –July 28, 1750). To celebrate the occasion, both the Baroque and the Sinfonia concerts will feature music by Bach.
