Fight Night returns with knockout spectacle

Excitement is mounting as Fight Night Under the Stars prepares to make its much-anticipated return to Durban. Event organisers are promising fans a festival that goes beyond boxing with a family-fun atmosphere.

THE much-loved Fight Night Under the Stars makes its triumphant return, promising to deliver a pulse-pounding evening of boxing and gourmet street food under the Durban sky.

Co-hosted by 1st Fitness and Silverbacks, this year’s event will take place on King Dinuzulu Road on the Berea on Saturday, August 2, transforming the venue into a hub of adrenaline-pumping action and community spirit.

Event organisers said: “This collaboration between 1st Fitness and Silverbacks represents our shared commitment to Durban’s sporting community. Beyond the fights, we are creating a festival atmosphere where families can enjoy great food, vibes and the thrill of boxing at its finest.”

This year spectators can expect over 40 fights featuring over 25 boxing clubs from across KZN, food festivals with diverse culinary vendors, and VIP and VVIP areas offering premium viewing and hospitality.

The doors will be open to the public from 15:00. Preliminary bouts commence at 15:30, while the main cards will take place from 18:00 to 22:00. The vendor line-up is as follows: Jo on the Go – Artisan coffee and pastries, Chip ‘n Dip – Golden fries with signature sauces, Chip Twister – Spiral potato skewers, Dancing Doughnuts – Handcrafted doughnut varieties, The Bakehouse – Fresh koeksisters and grilled mealies, Randree’s Braai Foods – Flame-grilled wors and meats, Koya’s Food Co – Gourmet smash burgers and brisket, and Chamigo – Zesty Mexican street fare.

Tickets will be available at 1st Fitness’s front desk before the event and at the door on the day of the event. General admission is R150, and children under eight will receive free entry. VIP tickets cost R300, while the VVIP tickets are R500 (Exclusive seating, complimentary buffet/refreshment).

The event is sponsored by various companies, including Achievers, Phoenix Express, Tile Co., Pineboard, Boltons, Funnel Cars, HMI, DMI, Todays Sweets, Barrett Pearson Remax, Sparkport Pharmacies, Islamic Medical Association and Freshstop.
