Glenwood High School headmaster resigns
The headmaster of Glenwood High School has formally resigned, and will be leaving the school at the end of this year.
IT’S the end of the journey for the headmaster of Glenwood High School (GHS), as he resigns from his post he has held since 2022.
Pierre Jacobs will be leaving the school at the end of 2025, the Circuit management of Ethusini Region announced on Friday. The management also took an opportunity to wish Jacobs well in his future endeavours. He had come from Queens College in the Eastern Cape before joining GHS.
“Since joining GHS, Jacobs has led our school with dedication, commitment, and care. Under his leadership, GHS has experienced meaningful growth, both academically and on the sports field, while remaining true to the traditions and values that make our school unique,” shared Colin Nzama, chairperson of the School Governing Body.

We are deeply grateful for the positive impact he has had on our learners, staff, and the broader community of Glenwood. His contribution will be remembered with respect and appreciation.”
The SGB concluded that it would communicate plans for the transition and process of appointing a new headmaster in due course.
