Youth boxing talent set to shine at Port Natal’s DWC Beukes Tournament
Punches, pride, and school spirit are set to fill the ring when Port Natal School hosts the much-anticipated DWC Boxing Tournament on Friday, October 17.
PORT Natal School will showcase some of the region’s most promising young boxing talent at the DWC Beukes Boxing Tournament on Friday, October 17, on the school grounds.
Organised in collaboration with Lions Den Boxing Club, the inter-school tournament is one of the biggest highlights on the Porties’ calendar. Monica Knepscheld, Grade 11 learner and Head of Media at Port Natal School, said the tournament is set to showcase youth talent, discipline, and determination, while also uniting students, staff, families, and Durban’s wider boxing community.
“This tournament reflects the positive energy and ambition of young people in our area,” said Knepscheld. “We’re proud to host such a prestigious event and would love to see it supported across the community. We hope to see you ringside!”

The tournament promises an action-packed evening of boxing, school pride, and community spirit, with athletes stepping into the ring to test their skills and inspire the next generation. The tournament starts at 14:30 and boxing entry costs R150. The price to be at ringside is R50 and R30 for learners. To be a vendor on the day, you can reserve a stall for R250.
