FANS of GRAMMY® Award-winning jazz vocalist Gregory Porter are in for a treat with global icon set to perform live at the Durban ICC on Saturday, November 15, from 20:00.

Durban is part of the Take Me to the Alley singer’s three-city Love is King South African concert tour which also includes Cape Town  and Johannesburg. Concert promoters Showtime Management and GRIZA Enterprises confirmed the “new concert date owing to recent weekend availability at Durban ICC”.

This change follows fan feedback requesting a weekend show and is made possible by updated venue availability. According to the organisers, Porter has long dreamed of visiting Durban.

“He’s heard about the rhythm, the ocean, the people, and the energy that make Durban so unique. Now it’s your turn to give this eight-time nominee and two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning jazz icon the warm welcome he’s been waiting for,” added the organisers.

Porter is expected belt out some of his biggest hits which may include Illusion, On my way to Harlem, and No love dying. To be part of the Love is King South African tour experience, you can purchase a ticket, ranging from R700 to R1500, by visiting www.showtime.co.za and www.ticketmaster.co.za.
