Caxton Local Media distribution manager Dhinesh Harilal said the department has suffered a great loss.
“Lindo was dedicated to his work, and it was always a pleasure working with him. He was always punctual and carried out his tasks with professionalism. He trained deliverers on proper distribution techniques,” he said.
Known for his affectionate smile and warm personality, Mkhize touched many lives beyond the Caxton family.
“He attended to residents and readers with professionalism; he represented both himself and the company very well,” added Harilal.

Mkhize’s presence at the Caxton offices was deeply appreciated. Apart from his colleagues in the distribution department, Lindo was well-liked by the entire staff, who fondly remembered his friendly demeanor. Staff member Pam Ngwane shared how their relationship had grown over time and they had become like family.
“Earlier this year, Lindo fell ill, but during that time, he assured me he would come back. He did, and now this has happened. I am really shattered, but I will hold onto the memories we shared. He was a very dedicated young man who loved and cared for his family; he had dreams and was very ambitious,” she said.
Phumelele Mkhize, Lindo’s sister, shared that their family felt his unwavering love and that he would do anything to care for them.
“He took on our father’s role and cared for our mother without complaint. He was open, and we always felt free to speak to him about anything. He was a selfless person who put his family first,” she said.
