Glenwood High School appoints acting headmaster

Glenwood High School has announced the appointment of Morne Scott as acting headmaster, effective immediately.

A highly respected figure within the Glenwood community, Morne Scott, has emerged as the acting headmaster at Glenwood High School. His predecessor, Pierre Jacobs, vacated the position after leading the Green Machine since 2022.

“Scott brings 23 years of loyal and distinguished service to this role. He has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, unwavering integrity, and a deep commitment to the development and well-being of our learners. As Deputy Headmaster: Academics, Scott has been instrumental in upholding Glenwood’s strong academic standards, supporting both staff and learners with professionalism, care and accountability. His influence extends far beyond the academic sphere, with active involvement across many aspects of school life,” the school shared.

Scott has reportedly also played a meaningful role in Glenwood’s community outreach initiatives, helping to strengthen the school’s culture of service, compassion, and social responsibility.

“The Governing Body and entire Glenwood community are confident in Scott’s ability to provide steady leadership and continuity during this transition period. We extend our full support to him as he steps into this important role.”

He assumes his role immediately.
