EDITOR – I understand that the street cleaning in our section of Musgrave Road has been out sourced. It would seem that the appointed firm having made some attempt to clean up the pavements and an even feebler attempt to clean up the steps and walkways on both sides of Jack Zikhali Street (Sydenham Road) then leave their outsourcing to the elements. Bags of rubbish then lie around in some cases blocking the pavement. To add to this the firm is not without artistic talent as leaves in autumnal colours are arranged around the water meter. Despite formal complaints nothing is done and the only clean part of the pavements are those cleaned by owners.
