EDITOR – I would really like to know when the local municipal pool was zoned as a church.
On a Sunday morning recently, just before 7am, we and our neighbours were awakened by a most loud and awful sound. This went on for 30 minutes and then finally stopped.
I’m not sure if it was because I went up there with my camera or not but thank goodness either way.
It sounded like someone was being tortured and in actual fact I felt that I could have slit my wrists if I had to listen to that for too long. After some investigating we found that the ‘wailing and gnashing of teeth’ was coming from the Tesorerie swimming pool.
It seems that some church group had decided that they were going to do baptisms there.
To my knowledge the pool is not zoned as a church and there is also supposed to be a noise restriction in place.
We were not impressed by the fact that we were woken up to this terrible sound and at that time on a Sunday morning either, historically being a day of rest. We as residents are also entitled to a peaceful Sunday morning. We certainly hope that this will not be allowed to happen again.
