Traffic on Comrades day needs attention

Police officers did nothing to ensure road rules were obeyed at the Comrades Marathon.

EDITOR – Just a letter to state my disgust to the Comrades traffic chaos caused by lack of traffic police and bad driving/plan bad manners.

As all are aware the main exit from Durban on a down run is up Berea Road but this turns Moore Road into a one way as taxis have not got the courtesy to wait or the intelligence to drive up Clark Road to exit into South Ridge Road.

Cars wishing to turn down Moore Road are unable as taxis are blocking their way.

This results in loud hooting and explicit language being shouted about all day.

This happens every Comrades down run but you will not find a traffic policeman doing what he is actually been paid for, ensuring road rules are obeyed.
