Knitting project is ongoing

The community is urged to help local knitting project by donating wool.

EDITOR – Some time ago there were two articles in the Berea Mail on our project, Beanies and Blankets for Babies (B&B4B) – we knit and crochet gifts for babies born at King Dinuzulu Hospital in Sydenham.

We would like to thank all those who, after reading the articles, generously donated wool and completed items for babies.

Our project is ongoing but we are making a special effort to put together gift packs to give out on Mandela Day. If anyone would like to donate items for babies (jackets, beanies, blankets and so on).

Please leave these at the wool shops who have kindly provided buckets to receive donations: Busy Needles, Windermere Centre; One Stitch @ a Time, Glenwood Village Centre; Berciles, Umhlanga Rocks Drive.

Many thanks to Berea Mail for the publicizing our project.
