Why spend money to get things done?

A resident feels traffic calming is wasting money when Metro Police should be enforcing road rules.

EDITOR – Amazing how active some councillors are in identifying and taking care of the needs of their wards.

This is in reference to a recent article about speed calming being planned for some Musgrave roads.

I often wonder if they really consider this type of “achievement” fulfilling.

Personally, I would expect councillors to realise that the problem is just that we do not have effective policing and then insist Metro Police commit every day to work as expected by the laws of the city, province and country.

Seems councillors are wont to choose the non-impact route – spending more money to get things done rather than engaging with and getting those already getting paid to get down to serious work.
