Bouquet of thanks for Berea SAPS

A Berea policewoman went beyond the call of duty to help a woman whose car was stolen.

EDITOR – My thank you is belated but my gratitude is never forgotten.

On the morning of 16 August, my car was stolen from the Berea Congregational Church yard. On realising the theft and before I could help myself with what needed to be done, a lovely young lady asked one of my friends what the matter was.

As the incident was relayed to her, that we just came out of a meeting to find the car stolen, she picked up her phone and made a call. The lady was Constable Ngwenya of the Berea Police Station and was off duty at the time but instinctively responded with the necessary assistance. She also ensured that the tracking company was notified.

I want to say thank-you to her for her kindness and her loyalty to her work and I also want to say thank-you to Constables N M Khoza and BV Mdluli of the Task Team and Car Track officers Wayne Beere and Riaan Marais for the many hours of assistance and the number of calls made to me to keep me informed about the progress of the recovery of the car. My car was tracked within 10 minutes of it being reported stolen.

That afternoon, Constable Ngwenya called to find out about my car and how I was doing. A gesture truly beyond the call of duty.

I feel really blessed having been assisted by these wonderful and committed individuals. A very big thank-you to them all.

Ever grateful
