Worshippers break bylaws

Undisciplined worshippers break the law everyday and Metro Police are nowhere in sight, says resident.

EDITOR – With three churches and a mosque all sitting cheek by jowl at and around the intersection of St Thomas and Musgrave Roads, parking has become a problem. It’s inevitable that this would happen because more and more worshippers converge in this area especially during lent.

My issue with some of the more undisciplined worshippers is that how does one reconcile going to prayer and committing an offence simultaneously. There are by laws that prevent one from parking on pavements, across driveways, on the yellow lines, in front of demarcated fire hydrants and especially within a specific distance from the traffic lights at the intersection.

Our undisciplined worshippers break the law every day and yet the Metro Police are nowhere in sight.

My fear is that one day and very soon, some irate resident in that area is going to lose it and “all hell will break loose”.
