Have you any wool?

The Durban and Coast Central branch of the Association for the Physically Challenged is appealing for donations of wool.

EDITOR – The Durban and Coast Central branch of the Association for the Physically Challenged (APC) provides a wide range of services to adults and children with physical disabilities in Central Durban and the outlying rural areas.

Our services include social work counselling, rehabilitation, sheltered employment workshops, and children’s stimulation groups.

The association has a wonderful band of retired volunteers who crochet blankets and knit scarves, hats and children’s items, free of charge, for distribution to poor and needy persons with physical challenges. Funds do not allow for the purchase of wool and the Association urgently requires a donation of wool that can be turned into warm items for the approaching winter. The knitted items are distributed throughout KZN and the need is endless.

APC has been in existence for 73 years and provides a wide range of services to under privileged physically challenged adults and children, most of whom are poverty stricken and reside in rural areas. We would be very grateful if people could help with wool donations.
