EDITOR – In response to ‘Concerned’ on the ‘Windows scam’.
I think they just look it up in the telephone directory. I’ve had many such calls.
The snag being that I’m not on the Internet!
I ask them stupid questions, wasting their time and hopefully their money, and then say that I’m not on the Internet, or have an abacus.
They slam down the phone and I have a few months’ peace from them.
If there was a problem, you’d probably get emails or something.
I’m not familiar with computers so I really don’t know how it works. I imagine that you’d find problems on the computer yourself.
