Since when do you need a permit to pick up glass bottles?

"They say we must recycle to save the planet and I get told I need a permit."

EDITOR – I am a part time environmentalist. On Saturday 28 September 2019, I went to Blue Lagoon like I do most Saturday mornings. I pick up glass bottles there for the glass bank at our Church. This morning there were lots of glass bottles because of lots of taxi activity.

I filled a box I found and the crate from my car was almost full. This amounted to plus minus 40 bottles. Three security guards approached me and told me I could not take the bottles as I needed a permit to do so. So I left the bottles. I haven’t experienced this problem before. They say we must recycle to save the planet and I get told I need a permit.

There was no visible sign of the cleaners that are supposed to clean the area, and there were lots of broken bottles strewn over the parking lot.
