THE Durban Radio Boat Club held a successful and well-attended Open Day on Sunday morning at the Model Yacht Pond at Blue Lagoon.
The intention of the day was to get the various sections to display their various offerings together, including Scale (scale replicas of real boats), Power (both nitro and electric) and Sail (Lasers and International One Meter).
There were demonstrations in half hour slots, together with some commentary, so the public were informed what goes into the hobby.
This was also about growing the hobby and trying to generate new interest.
