Cell C Sharks to blaze their trail this December
Cell Sharks to give up a day's training to spend time with the fans
The Stihl Sharks adventure trail is set to celebrate its fourth edition on 6 December. The Durban outfit are completely behind the popular mountain biking and trail running event at Summerveld Estate, Shongweni.
Despite The Sharks squad being deep into their pre season for the 2016 campaign, the boys in black and white look forward to the prospect of some early bonding time with their fans.
It is fun for the whole family, with CEO John Smit saying “The STIHL Sharks Trail Adventure has proven to be a hugely popular event that has a vibrant family feel to it. We are delighted about our association with this successful event, which allows the Cell C Sharks the opportunity to interact with our supporters during a morning of great entertainment and fun.”
There is an abundance of trails to choose from, participants can partake in the 40km, 20km, 10km or Sharkie Kids Ride MTB events or the 18km or 9km trail running races.
Not only will their be trails to blaze, but an exclusive staging of the Sunday staging of the Shongweni Farmers’ market at the Summersveld Estate will make for a wonderful day out for the whole family.
The main attraction however will be the appearance of the entire Sharks squad, whose presence will be noted for the entire day, manning the water tables, supporting cyclists and runners as they pass the finish line as well as getting behind the youngsters of The Sharkie Kids Ride.
Supporters of all ages will be glad to hear that later in the day the team will be signing autographs along with Sharkie who will be around for fan pictures.
