Enter Dusi 2016

The 2016 FNB Dusi Canoe Marathon build-up is well and truly underway with just over two and a half months to go until the three-day spectacle from Pietermaritzburg to Durban from 18 to 20 February.

SOUTH Africa's most iconic canoeing event, the FNB Dusi Canoe Marathon is just months away and the nation's top athletes have already started their intensive training programmes ahead of the much anticipated 2016 K2 clash.

With a handful of the front row seeding races having already come and gone, the top contenders are starting to flex their muscles as they feel each other out without giving too much invaluable information away.

For the hundreds outside of the first century of paddlers though, the three days on the Msundusi and Mngeni Rivers and pathways of the spectacular Valley of a Thousand Hills is far more than just a race – it’s an adventure.

Lifelong memories and friendships have been formed throughout the previous 63 editions of the renowned paddling event while the sense of achievement upon crossing the finish line and completing the journey from Pietermaritzburg to Durban is unmatched.
