Get out and about in nature this weekend with Durban Ramblers Hiking Club.
ENJOY outings with Durban Ramblers Hiking Club this weekend.
The group will take on Herbies Hike at Roosfontein, Westville, on Saturday 9 January.
Meet at 1.45pm at the parking lot outside the Westville Prison (Harry Gwala Road). The hike is through grasslands and some forest.
Ensure you take enough water. Cost is R20 donation towards the upkeep of the reserve. Meet afterwards for drinks at the Pavilion.
Grading – moderate distance of 7km.

On Sunday 10 January, the group will hike at Blythedale Beach and Forest.
Meet at Virginia airport at 6.30am or Blythedale Beach parking area at 7.30am. Hike along the beach to the Mvoti Estuary and back through Jon’s mystical forest.
Petrol sharing from Virginia Airport is R50.
Grading 2 – distance ± 15km.
