Rugby players wanted

Harlequins Rugby Club is calling on all U20 players who are interested in playing to attend training.

HARLEQUINS Rugby Club has entered a team into the Frank Norris Cup, the premier division of U20 rugby in KZN and is calling on all players who are interested in playing to attend training.

The club has secured the services of Devan Dippenaar, formerly of the very successful Amanzimtoti Rugby Club first team, as the head coach of the U20s, and its aim is to develop rugby in South Durban region, be competitive in the league, and restore the club to the once formidable side it used to be.

Players will receive free access to the fully equipped gym at the club and there are also some reasonably priced accommodation packages available for players who wish to move in. Players who want to be noticed have a fantastic opportunity as selectors from KZNRU will frequently be attending the games.

Wesley Slabbert from Harlequins Rugby Club, said: “There is also a first division side fielding teams to compete this year and all senior players are welcome to contact me as well.”

Interested players can contact Wesley on 071 689 9233 or wslabbert@hotmail.com
