Get out and about in nature this weekend with Durban Ramblers Hiking Club and Mountain Backpackers' Club.

ENJOY outings with local hiking clubs this weekend.

Durban Ramblers Hiking Club will hike at Emberton/Springside, Gillitts on Saturday 30 January.

Meet at Emberton Driving Range (90 Ashley Drive, Gillitts) at 1.45pm.

A walk from the Emberton Driving Range to the Springside Nature Reserve and back.

Entrance is a R20 donation towards the reserve. Tea/coffee and cake at the Emberton coffee shop after the hike.

Grading 2, moderate distance of 9km.

Mountain Backpackers’ Club will hike at Umgeni Valley Nature Reserve, near Howick on 31 January.

Lovely local day hike in a beautiful area with great views and a chance to see plenty of game and bird life.

Several trail variations. Combined hike with other clubs.

Cost is R30 for the entrance fee.

Distance is 13km.
