Keegan Daniel returns home

Keegan Daniel will be making a welcome return to the Cell C Sharks for the 2016 Super Rugby season.

THE Sharks are pleased to announce that Keegan Daniel, who has spent two seasons with Kubota in Japan, will be making a welcome return to the Cell C Sharks for the 2016 Super Rugby season.

With 199 caps to date for the Cell C Sharks, 59 of those as captain, he also led the team to Absa Currie Cup glory in 2013.

According to The Sharks Director of Rugby, Gary Gold, Keegan has always been a fierce competitor and he will bring strong leadership and experience to the team environment, which will greatly benefit the youngsters in the Cell C Sharks squad.

Commenting on his signing, Gold said: “Keegan’s record at the Cell C Sharks speaks volumes about the impact he had at this franchise as well as the calibre of player he is. We look forward to welcoming him home.”
