A family made history last weekend when they became the second crew in Dusi canoe marathon history to complete the event in a three generational K3 class.

THE Symingtons, an adventurous outdoor loving family made history last weekend and memories to last them a lifetime, when they became the second crew in Dusi canoe marathon history to complete the event in a three generational K3 class.

Elijah (16) his dad Wayne (50) and grandfather Des (75) were thrilled with their accomplishment. Wayne Symington told Berea Mail, the challenge was an “exceptional and incredible” experience especially because he was with his father and son. “We just felt this wave of emotion on the home stretch. It is one of the most monumental moments in my life, up there with my wedding and the birth of my children. We are incredibly blessed,” he added.
