ENJOY an outing with a local hiking club this weekend.
Durban Ramblers Hiking Club will hike the streets of Gillitts and Stockville on Saturday 9 April.
Hike around the streets of Gillitts and down into Stockville Valley.
Meet and park at 1.45pm at the Gilitts Post Office shopping centre (15 Old Main Road).
Drinks afterwards at a restaurant in the shopping centre.
Grading 2 – moderate.

On Sunday 10 April, the group will hike in Stockville Road.
Walk to St Helier through Giba Gorge and scramble up to the pylon and Winston Park. Hike continues towards Stockville Valley, across grasslands and past interesting old homesteads before the uphill climb back to the cars. Meet and park at 7.30am at Zephyr/ Pintos Shopping Centre, 7 Old Main Road (parallel to M13, take exit 26 Everton Road, towards Gillitts/ Kloof).
Steep in parts. Grading 3 and distance is ±17km.
