Tee-off for Bibles
The Bible Society is encouraging avid golfers to support its golf day.
GOLFERS are urged to support the Bible Society Golf Day 5 August at Royal Durban Golf Course.
The format is a 4-ball alliance – two scores to count. Maximum unofficial handicap is 18 (men) and 24 (women).
Entry is R420 or R1680 per 4-ball, which includes supper and green fees.
The society is looking for anyone willing to sponsor part of the supper (R74 per head X 100 players is R7 400). Full supper sponsorship will include a four-ball entry, two carts and a tee.
Donations of prizes are also requested. To sponsor a tee, contact Royal Durban (number on the entry form) to confirm club requirements, on 031 309 2581.
Contact the club in good time to book carts if required. These are not included in the entry fee.
Donations will go towards making Bibles available for Grade 7 Learners. Last year the Society raised enough to make 625 Bibles available. Bible donations are R45.
