Fishing competition for disabled anglers
The organisers of the annual fishing event have appealed for donations of prizes and funds to treat disabled anglers to a fun day outdoors doing something they love.
QUADPARA is hosting a fishing competition for persons with disabilities on Saturday, 8 July at the SA Navy Base, Salisbury Island, Durban Harbour, and is appealing to the community and businesses for support.
The competition, which has been held over the past eight years, offers those with disabilities an enjoyable day out.
This event is an opportunity for between 80 and 150 disabled anglers to take part in a day of fishing and outdoor fun.

There will be approximately 120 helpers and families who will ensure this is a day to be remembered for every disabled angler.
The public can help by donating money for fees which are needed to cover transport, portable toilet hire, cleaning crews, refreshments and food items for snacks and meals during the course of the day.
There is also a need for prizes of any form such as caps, T-shirts and items to make up goodie bags for the anglers to take home.
