Join in on hiking club’s future outings
Hikers are encouraged to join Mountain Backpackers Club on outings in and around Durban.
THE Mountain Backpackers’ Club hiked the African Fish Eagle Trail on Saturday, 5 August.
The group, which was made up mostly of new people, met at Green Hub Durban to walk through the Beachwood Mangroves and along the north bank of Umgeni River.
The club celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. It hosts a couple day hikes during the year with most of the other hikes in the Drakensberg. The club hosts socials twice a month where there are talks on hiking and environmental issues.
