Eagles tribute swoops into the Heritage
Fans of the American rock band the Eagles are in for a treat.
DON’T miss the musical tribute, Eagles – Taking it Easy at the Heritage Theatre in Hillcrest from 6 August to 15 September.
The show, which covers the meteoric rise of the Eagles during the early 70s and 80s, includes numbers such as Hotel California, Tequila Sunrise, Lyin’ Eyes, Get Over It and Heartache Tonight, played to packed houses last year.
Featuring a seven-piece band, the show is the closest thing to going to a real Eagles concert. This musical offering is directed by Dawn Selby and in true Eagles style, features four frontline guitarists, including Barry Thomson, Andy Turrell, Riaan Jacobsz and Shaun Dragt. Andy also features on pedal steel with Mali Sewell on drums.
If you are an Eagles fan, this one is not to be missed. There are three preview specials on 6, 7 and 8 August where you can get the show and a three-course meal for only R165 each.
Normal ticket prices are R195 each Wednesday to Saturdays, and R165 each on Tuesday evenings and Sunday lunch time for the show and a two-course meal. There is also a show only option for R120 each.
