THE CANSA Night of 100 Stars fundraising ball returns to Suncoast Casino, Hotels and Entertainment for the second year running so supporters should get their dazzling outfits ready.
The Cancer Association of South Africa’s spectacular charity event is on Monday, 2 September.
CANSA Night of 100 Stars is a gala dinner with a variety of thrilling performances which attracts guests from far and wide onto the red carpet in order to raise funds to support the Durban CANSA office. The event has had amazing success through the support of the generous sponsors and performers since its inception.
Last year, guests at the CANSA Night of 100 Stars ball were entertained, by award winning actor and celebrity, Robert Whitehead known as ‘Barker Haines’ amongst other stars, Lauren Dasappa, the only Indian soprano singer in the country and a breathtaking preview of the hit Broadway dance production ‘Burn the Floor’.
Suncoast executive director, Mike Dowsley said guests could look forward to another spectacular evening this year. Gracing the stage this year, is a star studded line up which includes Craig Urbani, The Glitter Girls, Warrior Knights and performing for the first time at the show is singer and songwriter, Ard Matthews from the band, Just Jinjer.
CANSA Durban project facilitator, Shauneeta Pargoolall said, “The success of the previous show was due to the amazing support received from the public and this year we’ve raised the bar and look forward to a stunning show.”
In the lead up to the anticipated announcement of the final line up for this glittering event, Hawkins is hoping to have more top screen and stage performers adding their names to this worthy initiative.
“It’s the little things in life that matter and knowing that by giving my time to this show, will contribute to saving someone’s life that is all that matters” said Ard Matthews of Just Jinger.
Tickets for the evening are available from Computicket at R400 per person or R4000 per table, which includes complimentary wine, a three-course meal and an evening of exceptional entertainment.
