A New Day, a laid-back musical offering from Evan Roberts, Shelley McLean and Melanie Roberts, is on at Blue Zoo, Mitchell Park, on 30 August and 5 and 7 September.
Celebrating 19 years of working together and an enduring friendship off the stage, this lyrical and often funny trio return to the piano keyboard with their unique style of music.
From Sting to Bruno Mars, Adele to Carpenters to Rihanna to Pink to Michael Buble they wind their way through each others lives through song and anecdotes.
Their signature musical trademark is to take a song, strip it down to the essentials – lyric, melody and piano – then embracing their passion for eclectic musical genres including swing, jazz, blues, ballads, showstoppers, movie themes and more they weave their magic.
Evan Roberts, Shelley McLean and Melanie Roberts do what they do best – sing, chat and share in a relaxed setting. As this is their first musical offering since Melanie returned to live in Durban and following on the success of previous runs, A New Day promises to deliver a heartfelt look at life and music.
