Tlale Makhene brings jazzy rhythms to Durban
Don't miss jazz percussionist Tlale Makhene in concert.

ONE of South Africa’s most remarkable drumming talents Tlale Makhene will perform in three concerts in Durban. Highly regarded by musicians and musical fans alike, he has been featured in more than 300 jazz and world music albums and is a much sought after indigenous music teacher, session musician and performer.
In Durban Talle’s band will consist of Bongani Sokhela on bass guitar, Paki Peloeole on drums and Sibu Mashiloane on keys.
On Sunday 6 October Tlale will perform at the BAT Centre at 2pm. He will be joined by Durban-based popular all-female jazz band Heels over Head, who will release new music in the form of an EP titled “Sondela” (to be released on Friday 8 November at KZNSA Gallery). The ladies will be featuring talented female instrumentalists Jane Baillie on violin and Arianna Carina on guitar. Tickets are R60, for bookings and info phone 031 711 1524
