EVERY first Saturday of each month, Alliance Française of Durban, 22 Sutton Crescent, Morningside, provides a platform for local talents and legends. On 4 October, Impressions, a duet from Durban will perform at noon. Cebo “guitarist” and Sbusiso “bassist” are students at UKZN, studying music as well as performing jazz, afro jazz, Latin and all African rhythmic styles around Durban. Contact 031 312 9582.
ON Friday 10 October there will be a double feature at the rock extravaganza at LIVE-The Venue, 166 Matthews Meyiwa (Stamford Hill) Road featuring Taxi Violence, celebrating 10 years in the music business, with the release of the band's latest album Tenfold, and perennial favourites Desmond and The Tutus.
