Support local Durban act, Connecting Stars, in their shows this month.
LOCAL duo, Connecting Stars, will perform in various shows this month.
On 13 November the group will be opening for Laurie Levine and Josie Field 'Side by Side Tour' at Northwood Crusaders Sport Clubs, 10 Ranleigh Crescent, Durban North, at 6pm and on 16 November they will again open for Laurie and Josie at Music in the Meadow, Meadow T Garden, Inanda Road, Hillcrest (entrance is directly opposite Kirtlington), at 1pm.
On 22 November they will be at the Dragon Restaurant and Pub, Dragon Peaks Resort, Central Berg, at 7pm. Officially formed in 2012, Connecting Stars has already forged a welcome melodic sound, combining the sweetness of blended vocal harmony with a down home acoustic atmosphere. Acoustic guitar, piano and haunting melody form the backbone of the experience, along with glockenspiel, ukelele, harmonica and mandolin.
With a storied history in the South African music scene, both have been singing and playing together and separately, on stage and in the studio, for the past 10 years.
Cheryl is a veteran studio session singer and Martin was formerly both the manager and bass player of the award-winning rock band, Tree63.
