Over 35s invited to Boogie Friday
Over 35s are invited to boogie the night away at Bud's on the Bay every Friday.
THE over 35s crowd are urged to to miss the next Bud’s on the Bay dance evening when it plays hosts to Boogie Friday with The Handsome Devils on Friday 21 November at 7pm.
Back in the day when Larry and The Lounge Lizards was one of the busiest, and most popular bands in South Africa, one of the best supported gigs in town, was the regular Monday night “over 35s” evenings at the now defunct and demolished Sand Pebbles at the Mermaid Lido building at Durban’s South Beach.
Since then Durban has sadly lacked a venue, where people, over the age of 35, can meet friends, have a good meal and dance to a six piece live band.
Durban restauranteur Bill Budd has teamed up with well known Durban musician Stuart Mey to fulfill that need.
Boogie Friday is for over 35s who like to dance, meet up with friends, enjoy a meal and a few drinks.
Dance studio members, line dancing groups, social groups, parents without partners are all welcome.
There is no cover charge, and there is a very good value for money menu available, as well as a cash bar and dance floor.
