Baroque 2000 performs
Several instruments will take centre stage at the next Baroque 2000 concert.
BAROQUE 2000 presents another programme of rarely performed gems at its next concert on Sunday 30 November at the Church of the Monastery, Mariannhill at 3pm.
In Marcello's Oboe Concerto the soloist is Nuria Cabezas Castaño, and in Vivaldi's D minor Concerto RV565 the solo parts are played by Ralitza Matcheva and Petya Koleva (violins) and Cecilia di Cecco (cello).
The same violinists are joined by Lidia Sanacori and Roberto Palma for Vivaldi's Concerto for Four Violins RV549, (L'Estro Armonico).
The other works are Alessandro Scarlatti's Symphony no 2 in D, scored for strings, oboe, and trumpet, and Giacomo Facco's Concerto Grosso op1 no1.
