Soulful Maxolo for Bat Centre
Singer, Lindiwe Maxolo, will perform at the Bat Centre on Saturday.
JAZZY and soulful vocalist Lindiwe Maxolo will perform in Durban on Saturday 14 March at the Bat Centre, 45 Maritime Place, Victoria Embankment, at 6pm.
Lindiwe Maxolo has, for some years now, been working very hard towards establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. This is beginning to bear fruit when you look at some of the stages that she has already graced within South Africa and Internationally. Since the release of her debut CD, titled Time, Lindiwe Maxolo has become one of the new young South African Jazz voices that are writing a new history and taking South African music to greater heights.
An accomplished band will join Maxolo on stage with Jacob Thomo on keys, Sthembiso Bhengu on trumpet, Thembinkosi Mavimbela on double bass and Sphelelo Mazibuko on drums.
At Bat Centre, Durban’s own vocalist Paras, an energetic ethnic afro soul crooner, will be the supporting act. Paras’ style blends ethnic/tribal sounds with modern day soulful sounds in his music to create a unique Afro-Centric Contemporary style of music.
