A whole world of fun

Children are invited to enjoy a fun day at uShaka at the marine park's first Kid's World Festival.

CALLING all minions, Spongebobs, Elsas, Annas, Kristoffs, Hello Kittys and all the other wonderful characters – uShaka Marine World will host a fun-filled Kids World Festival on Saturday, 21 March from 9am to 4pm.

Little ones can catch three spectacular live shows in the Castaways amphitheatre, try their hand at something artistic in the Creative Corner with Fleur Du Cap Theatre Awards’ winner and master of his art, Peter Court who may have a performance up his sleeve, watch the movie of the day in the Lazy Lizard Movie Shack, keep a look out for the circus acts featuring clowns and unicyclists, get their face painted at the painting stations or even partake in the fun competitions on the day.

If your child has a special skill for singing or dancing, they can enter the talent competition at 10am or if they have a love for building, there is also a Lego competition from 1pm.

Kids also have a chance to get involved in the special Mad Hatters Tea Party in the Creative Corner at 2.30pm, as well as play at the Pirate Action Stations which will make all Mateys and mini Buccaneers shiver their timbers.

For the parents who tag-along, there will be vocalist Samantha Landers performing in the Duzi River Lounge.

Tickets cost R65 a child under 12 and R20 for accompanying adults. Children under two enter free.

Kids are encouraged to dress up as their favourite movie character, as there are loads of prizes to be won.

For more information or a list of all the activities on the day contact Thresa Harker on 031 328 8000.
