Sinfully decadent expo heads to Durbs

Be part of the decadence that is the Chocolate and Coffee Expo at Suncoast next month with free tickets from Berea Mail.

DECADENCE is on its way to Durban’s Suncoast when the Coffee and Chocolate Expo makes its Durban debut from 1 to 3 May.

After rave reviews in Johannesburg this “exquisite visual and sampling extravaganza” will be here to delight chocoholics and coffee connoisseurs alike.

One can expect to enjoy learning more about coffee, its origins and how to pour the perfect cup at the Coffee Theatre, then complement that by sampling the chocolate magic created by some of Durban’s top chefs at the 1000 Hills Chef School’s Chocolate Workshop.

Once you have tantalised your senses with the rich smells of coffee and tastes of chocolate, relish in the ambiance of the Cocoa Mokka Lounge. Offering coffee, wine and craft beer as well as live entertainment from Motherland and some of KZN’s top bands, take time out before moving on to your next tasting trip.

In a quest to find the best coffee barista in the province, The Speciality Coffee Association of SA, will be running the KZN Barista Champs along with the Latte Art Champs and the Cup Tasters finals.

Colombo Coffee and Tea’s Rowan Mallon said the expo was “hugely exciting.” “Durban is definitely following world trends as people are wanting to learn more about coffee, culture and how to get the best cuppa at home,” he added.

Tickets cost R60 and R40 for pensioners and children under 12. They can be purchased via iTickets.
