DURBAN’S annual adult pantomime for 2015 is the age-old story of Aladdin Grey Street takes place at the Centenary Room at Greyville Racecourse over the festive season from 10 November to 30 December.
Durban’s annual adult pantomime has become something of a tradition, and now in its 17th year, locals and holiday-makers alike look forward to an evening of unashamed year-end adult amusement.
Take a traditional children’s story, add a healthy smattering of double entendre, a few blue jokes and a good dose of wickedly funny one-liners and you are sure to make this a grown up evening to remember.
Written and directed by Darren King, Aladdin Grey Street promises to be a bumper offering of good old fashioned belly laughs. Take Aladdin, a street urchin, and move his story to Durban. Take his poor long-suffering mother, the Widow Twanky, and put her laundry in Grey Street.
