Designers create glamour item for charity ball
Fashion icons are lending their support to this year’s Sunflower Fund charity ball on Friday, 11 May at the Southern Sun Elangeni Hotel.
RENOWNED fashion designers Karen Monk-Klijnstra, Sibu Msimang, Bianca Warren and Kathrin Kidger have pooled their collective talents to create a glamorous item for The Sunflower Fund’s Annual Charity Ball in association with IBV Gold.
Together with hair stylist extraordinaire, Fay Abdullah of Hoi Polloi, these style icons are lending their support to this year’s event which takes place on Friday, 11 May at the Southern Sun Elangeni Hotel.
The glitzy fashion creations will be awarded to people who have made a significant difference to The Sunflower Fund, at the high profile fundraising event.

The ‘gift of gratitude’ is this year’s integrated theme with all proceeds raised from the event going to The Sunflower Fund to help create awareness and education about blood stem cell donation and to recruit more blood stem cell donors.

Tickets cost R700 per person or R7000 per table and include KWV sparkling wine on arrival, a three-course meal including dessert by Chateau Gateaux, an extensive entertainment line-up as well as exclusive gifts courtesy of Elizabeth Arden and Sorbet La Lucia.
