Dolphins sink Sharks in Fin Cup thriller at Kingsmead

The Hollywoodbets Dolphins avenged last year’s defeat to the Sharks with a 21-run victory in the entertaining Fin Cup clash at Kingsmead.

THE Hollywoodbets Dolphins claimed provincial bragging rights on Sunday as they beat the Hollywoodbets Sharks in the Fin Cup.

The Dolphins won by 21 runs in the game at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium.

The unique T20 showdown has quickly established itself as one of KZN’s most entertaining sporting occasions.

Avenging their loss to the Sharks from last year at the same venue, the Dolphins batted first and set an imposing target of 271. They were set up by half centuries from Sean Gilson, Tim Saulez and Jason Smith.

In reply the Sharks scrumhalf Ivan van Zyl scored an impressive 123 off 57 balls with Jaden Hendrikse adding 93 off 54 balls. The rugby team ended with 250-4 from 20 overs.
