KW Clockwork food drive a success

The company's motive behind the food drive was to give back to the community.

Keller Williams (KW) Clockwork Properties Benoni held a food drive at Rebel Food in Atlasville on September 4.

According to coordinating agent Ruth Sherrard, the event was a huge success.

“We have packaged 21 parcels with a variety of products (non-perishable foods) and still have three large containers to distribute.

“Our motive behind the food drive was to meet people from our areas that we provide a real estate service to and to give back to the community.

We all know times are tough for many, families are consolidating or being retrenched and we just wanted to give a little assistance to our neighbours in need.

“What stood out the most was no matter what people are going through, South Africans always stand together in times of need. An event like this warms the heart and let us know we all can make a difference, one small act of kindness at a time,” she said.

These donations will go to families in the community that need a helping hand.

“Our agents will be distributing packages privately over the next couple of weeks,” Sherrard said.

She thanked everybody who helped to make the food drive a success.

“We would like to thank Rebel Foods for their charitable act of allowing us to use their facility. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the cause and a huge thank you to our agents who are making a difference in our communities.”
